Healing® (SFH) is a registered trademark of Peeps That Write LLC, which operates through the website
domains of www.StorybooksForHealing.com
and www.MyStorybookPublisher.com
(Sites). SFH is an educational and informational system designed to support
those in grief and bereavement (users or members) by offering products for
writing, peer support and preserving memories about their loss. Storybooks
for Healing recognizes the emotional journey our customers may travel while
writing and preserving memories related to their grief, as well as their loved
one’s life and death. Information
contained in or made available through these Sites are not meant to be a
replacement or substitute for the services of trained professionals including,
but not limited to, medicine, psychiatry, counseling, bereavement specialists,
or clergy. We encourage anyone who is having
difficulty to consult a competent bereavement expert of their choice.
The SFH Sites, including all information, products and services,
are offered to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all of the
terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. SFH reserves the right to
make changes to the Privacy, Terms of Use and Commerce Policies by posting the
changes in this location. Your continued use of the Sites constitutes your
agreement to all such terms, conditions, policies and notices, and any changes
to these Terms and Policies made by SFH.
SFH may offer professional services based on life and grief coaching practices for moving forward after loss. SFH or its subcontractors do not offer counseling services. Organizations using the SFH live writing program are responsible for using competent grief facilitators as support. We encourage you to review the credentials of facilitators and program leaders before entering any SFH program whether in person or online.
The
information and services offered by SFH are provided “as is” and without
warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. User/Buyer shall hold
harmless and its agents, including parent companies against any loss, damage,
claim, suit, judgment or expense arising out of or in connection with these Sites.
User/Buyer assumes all responsibility for damage to or loss of property,
health, injury, disease or death contacted while using any of the products
offered on the Sites.
Storybooks for
Healing® will collect and use your personal information in accordance with the
privacy policy posted on its site. We encourage all visitors to review the
privacy polices so that you will know how your personal information will be
collected, used, and shared.
Storybooks for
Healing® will never lease,
share, or sell customer information.
The personal
information we are requesting is for use to complete your order
and communicate with you as requested. We are strongly committed to
safeguarding our customers' privacy. We operate under the following set of
strict privacy principles:
SFH may track and
record certain non-personal information of site users, including IP address,
operating system, type of browser, referring URL, and time spent on the Sites
in order to gain aggregate data that may be analyzed for trends and statistics
on how our visitors use the Sites. We may use accumulated aggregate
non-personal data for several purposes including, but not limited to, site
traffic analysis, evaluation Storybooks for Healing’s® services, and program planning. SFH
may also market anonymous, non-identifiable user data that has been collected
and processed into aggregate and anonymous statistical profiles to third
parties. Storybooks for Healing® may
use a third-party website analytics provider to track and record non-personal
information of Site users and provide reports based on such information to Storybooks for Healing®. Such providers
may use that non-personal information for their internal purposes.
We may also use your
personal information to notify you of services or activities that we think may
be of interest to you if you "opt-in" to such communications. We may
also share your personal information with third parties who provide services to
us in connection with the Sites or disclose it in special circumstances if we
have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to enforce this Privacy Policy,
protect the safety of any one or that such disclosure is required by law.
You may “opt-out”
of specific or all communications by changing your preference settings on the
relevant Site.
Cookies
Storybooks for Healing® employs "cookies" to provide
visitors with tailored information to facilitate your use of the Sites. A "cookie" is an element of data
that a website sends to a visitor's browser which, in turn, may store that
element on the visitor's hard drive or memory. Any cookies sent by Storybooks
for Healing® will be marked so that they will be accessible only by
the Site. A visitor may block or delete our cookies from the hard drive.
However, by disabling cookies, certain Site features and functionality may no
longer work properly, or at all.
Children under Age 13
Storybooks for
Healing® does not
knowingly collect any information from children under age thirteen. If you
discover that we have collected information from children under age thirteen,
please notify us. If a child under age thirteen sends us an email with a
question or comment, and we are aware of the child's age, we will write back
using that email address but we will not keep the email address or use it
again.
The Storybooks for Healing Community
The SFH Community
is a private member Site and users must create a profile account for access.
Community Profile Information
Storybooks for Healing® Community users may choose to provide
personally identifiable information, e.g., name and address, as well as
non-personally identifiable information, e.g., hometown, age, type of loss. Information
in a member’s profile is provided at his or her sole discretion. SFH members
can control the visibility and information of their profiles by choosing the
tab My Profile and submitting changes on the sidebar option Update Profile. These
privacy settings are designed to enable users to control how they share and
receive their information. While SFH takes steps to ensure that Community
members use Profile information in a manner consistent with a member’s privacy
setting, we cannot guarantee that users will follow these rules, or that any
profile visibility steps cannot be circumvented. Therefore, consider this and
your privacy settings whenever you provide or share information.
Community Online Discussion Boards
This Site
includes online Discussion Boards (forums) and optional social media that users
may engage. Users have access to control the level of privacy for each and
every post. Online discussions and blog comments are public information. Your
discretion is advised.
Storybooks for Healing® cannot assure the accuracy, efficacy or
authenticity of content generated by its users, many of whom are anonymous or
have user pen names and with whom SFH does not have an official relationship. SFH
assumes no liability for the outcome of user-to-user communications, dealings,
meetings, or other interactions. You are advised to exercise caution for all of
your online activities, especially with respect to your private information such
as addresses, phone numbers, e-mail, etc.
Community content
is posted directly upon submission. Monitoring will be provided to the extent
possible by SFH representatives. Any content deemed inappropriate or violating
the terms and conditions of this website will be subject to immediate removal,
and repeat offenders will be blocked from future submissions. Storybooks for Healing® retains the
right, at its sole discretion, to decide what is deemed inappropriate and/or
ban individuals whose behavior is deemed inappropriate within the Site. Questionable
material or content may be reported to SFH using any of the contact methods
listed.
SFH, and its
members, staff, and others involved with SFH are not and will not be
responsible for any misleading, false, or otherwise injurious information and
advice communicated in the Discussions nor for any loss or damage suffered by a
user through the user’s reliance on information and advice gained through the Site.
Terms of Use Behavior
SFH Community
members are asked to use the common sense courtesy when engaging on Sites. Any
disregard of the following may be considered a breach of Terms of Use and
reason for removal from the site:

Do not disrespect
the privacy and views of others. Seek to be supportive and helpful;

Do not use the
Community Forums for commercial purposes, including the promotion of any
specific goods or services;

Do not post
obscene, profane, sexually explicit, libelous, slanderous, defamatory, harmful,
threatening, illegal or knowingly false information;

Do not post
blatant expressions of bigotry, racism or hate, material encouraging conduct
that may constitute or contribute to a criminal offense, give rise to civil
liability or violate any national, state or local law, regulation or authority,
or any other material which SFH finds objectionable;
·
Do not post any
instructional information or messages encouraging or promoting suicide, or
other harm to oneself or others or facilitating illegal conduct;
·
Do not use the
Community Discussions for unlawful purposes;
·
Do not
impersonate another person including, without limitation, a SFH representative
or agent, another Community member;
·
Do not allow any
other person or entity to use your identification to post or view comments; and
·
Do not post
material that infringes on the copyright or other intellectual property rights
of others or the privacy and publicity rights of others;
·
Do not circumvent
or modify or assist any other person in circumventing or modifying any Site
security technology or software.
·
Do not engage in
any activity that involves the use of viruses, bots, worms, or any other
computer code, files or programs that interrupt, destroy or limit the
functionality of any computer software or hardware, or otherwise permit the
unauthorized use of or access to a computer or a computer network;
·
Do not interfere
with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Site or the networks or
services connected to the Web Site;
Content Ownership and Copyrights
Content on all Storybooks for Healing® Sites is
copyrighted to its author. Use of any content in part or in whole requires
permission from the author with the exception of SFH authored content.

Enforcement
If Storybooks
for Healing® becomes aware that the security of the Site is compromised or
any nonpublic user information has been disclosed to unrelated third parties as
a result of external activity or otherwise not in accordance with this Privacy,
terms of Use and Commerce Policies, Storybooks
for Healing® will take reasonable measures that it deems appropriate (which
may include an internal investigation and reporting, notifying the user, and
notifying and cooperating with law enforcement authorities).

will use reasonable efforts to safeguard any personal information that you
provide through the Site. Nevertheless, no transmission over the Internet can
be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
SFH Internet Commerce Policies
Location
of Servers and Transfer of Information
Our
servers are located in the United States. If you are located outside of the
United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be
transferred to the United States. By using our Site or providing your personal
information to us, you consent to this transfer and to the collection, storage,
processing and use of your personal information in the United States. In
addition, our service providers may not be located in your geographic area in
the United States. By providing your personal information on the Site, you also
consent to the transfer of your data to these service providers.
Shipping Policy
Storybooks for Healing® direct
ships using United Parcel Service (UPS) and United States Postal Service Office
(USPS) as its primary shippers.
Upon
check out you may choose your carrier and delivery options from United
Parcel Service or United States Postal Service (USPS). Please note: Orders
mailed through USPS do not have tracking available.
Orders
sent to PO Boxes will use USPS service only.
Shipping
charges are disclosed during the check out process and may include a nominal
handling fee on some items. Custom items are shipped immediately after
production and usually arrive within 14 days of order. High volume holidays and
inclement winter weather can sometimes affect shipping time and we suggest
ordering custom products early.
SFH
shall not be responsible for any losses or damages sustained by the buyer or
any other person as a result of use or improper use of products or tools offered
on the Sites.
Electronic Delivery of Content
Electronic
products, including e-books and online programs, offered though the SFH
Community are non-refundable.
Please
allow 24 hours for online programs to post to your registered SFH Community
account.
Downloads
will be available immediately upon payment through e-mail and/or internet
correspondence.
Return/Refund
Policy:
Storybooks, photo
cards and gift items on My Storybook
Publisher are custom products. Customers are responsible for content
errors. Please proof your order for misspelled words, and misaligned photos
carefully before checkout. All sales are final. However, if your products have
been damaged in shipment or in production we will replace the item or refund
your money.
SFH Workbook,
Facilitator Guides and related tangible programs materials are packaged to arrive
to you in good usable condition.
Online products
and services are non-refundable. Your satisfaction is important. Please contact
us if you have questions regarding your online programs and services.
Online Payment Security
Storybooks for Healing® is dedicated to your safe payment
transactions on our Sites.
SFH partners with Authorize.Net, a leading
payment gateway to accept credit cards online. The Authorize.Net Payment
Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through
credit card processing networks. Click here to
see how Authorize.Net works. We endeavor to keep your personal and payment
information is safe. SFH utilizes Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to
encrypt all of your personal information, including credit card number, name,
and address, so that it cannot be read over the Internet. SFH maintains PCI DSS compliance and is verified
by Trustwave, an approved scanning vendor. SFH is also uses GeoTrust
verified business security certificate. Look for the https:// address or icon
lock whenever proceeding through our online transactions. Once the transaction is approved and the
order completed, credit card information is no longer available or
stored within any SFH office.
SFH
maintains best practice efforts and reputable partners to safeguard any
personal information that you provide through the Sites. Nevertheless, no
transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Transaction Currency
SFH transactions are listed
and paid in US dollars. Orders are currently only available to the US and
Canada. Orders from outside of the United States may incur additional
transaction fees based on the practices of the processor for payment used.
